ACTIVITY SYSTEM

ACTIVITY SYSTEM
NAVIGATION

When the activity check goes up at the beginning of the month, each player must provide the following:
- Ten Comments from your character.
These can be from one or two threads and must have taken place during the month the check is for. Below are rules for our reward system.

Silence System

Going with the premise of the game, a character remaining quiet and as soundless as possible is key to survival. ICly the natives reward these actions by obtaining the things that characters want or need that aren't 'necessary'. If you are quiet, then they stay safe. The natives don't know, or they aren't saying, why people and items appear in that room, but they will clean them and bring them to the center of the community. All items that are requested will be left there - you can decide whether your character or someone else's character snaps it up and claims it as their own.

Cashing in points is simple - one tag where your character is silent is worth one point;
1 to 1. If they make no noise, you can cash it in and then exchange those points for rewards. To claim a reward you respond to the activity check when it goes up. There will be a static spot for your character with a point calculating section in a form to make things easier. It’s not mandatory to keep track.

Test Drive Threads can be claimed for bonus but not used as the activity link(s). The other character in the thread does not have to app into the game in order for them to be eligible. All other rules apply - no noise, only claimed once, etc.

The list below are suggestions, feel free to come up with other items!

Notes:

The natives don't have enhanced hearing, they're just extremely perceptive to noise after going so long without it. They wouldn't be able to hear everything. The soundproofing is a precautionary measure in case someone accidentally makes noise. If someone is whispering in a soundproofed house and you decide no natives are around, they wouldn't be heard, but if it's outside or natives are nearby, that's a different story. Any noise can have IC consequences, but it all depends on how you want to play it out and if there is anything going on in the game at that time.

During AC, the post will allow each character to have a static comment. The player will put the character name and each month, during Activity, they will use the form to respond. The form will have a section to link any threads that are being cashed in for points (threads can be cashed in during any activity check). The mod will approve point totals, and it will be one point per ‘soundless’ tag. (We're trusting our players to be honest and will do random checks where we count threads). The player can also request reward items during that time and the total cost will come out of their point total. Since the post won’t change, the player can come back to it each month without having to worry about recalculating.

All forms of tags can earn points, as long as they weren’t making noise.

INSTRUCTIONS:
After you've made a static post with your character's name in the subject line and nothing in the main field, hit submit and respond with the form. There's a mod example below. The only part of AC that is mandatory each month is providing the thread or threads that show you were active. Players can cash in threads for points and claim rewards during any open activity period. The form also makes it easier for players to cash in threads so that they can keep track of their points - points do not expire. You can cash them in for a month or ten and then claim a reward.
